''My husband and I wanted to trace his Orkney/northern Scotland father's family and were looking for a driver/guide to get us around three of the Orkney Islands. We were armed with some family history but only enough to get ourselves hopelessly lost on our own. We found Pat on the internet, she grabbed on to our story, did her own research on the family, corrected some of our incorrect assumptions and proposed a perfect itinerary for us long before we got off the plane in Kirkwall. She arranged our accommodations, mixed sightseeing in with our genealogy search and accompanied us on to Caithness as our search reached farther back than we could ever have hoped. Her knowledge of the people of Orkney got us into his grandfather's homes and even got the pilot of the plane to North Ronaldsay to circle the island so he could see where his father was raised. We have travelled extensively and found Pat to be THE BEST!!’’.

We have years of experience in planning the perfect itinerary and we like nothing better than using our expertise to ensure that your Orkney tour is a memorable experience and meets your own personal requirements. We will reply promptly to your emails, and will happily discuss the details of your tour with you. Whether you're in Orkney for a week or an afternoon, we can cater for you, and when you are here we can adapt your tour to suit any last minute requests, although ferries to our outer islands do need to be booked in advance.

''We engaged Pat's services for 3 wonderful days last month. After sending us a list of possible sites to visit, we emailed back our preferences. She picked us up promptly, and had called to confirm our presence on the island at the B&B we'd selected. She was unfailing cheerful and friendly as well as a wealth of information. Even took us to the laundry one morning when we needed some clothes washed and stopped by again at the end of the day. With her official Orkney tour guide status she breezed us through the admissions to the various sites which saved us lots of time. She took us to Rousay the second day which was an experience not to be missed even including the hike down the steep slope to the cairn and broch at Midhowe. The third day, though we had fog, we took in the Viking sites at Birsay in what turned out to be a beautiful day. I would definitely recommend Pat for a personal, informative tour''.
